Meet Our Directors!
Dawn T.
Dawn is our Site Director at Lino Lakes and has over 10 years of center and pre-school experience along with experience running her own licensed home childcare. She has worked with all age groups from infants up to school age. Dawn’s early childhood experience goes all the way back to high school where she worked at the preschool located within Coon Rapids Senior High School. Dawn is married and has 2 children ages 19 and 21, along with 2 fur babies ages 1 and 3. Dawn was a Scout leader for many years and a devoted volunteer at her children's school. She grew up in Coon Rapids attending elementary and junior high school at Epiphany Church and School. She graduated from Coon Rapids High School. Along with Dawn’s education and experience in Early Childhood, she has held a Dental Assisting License and was a Certified Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide. She has cared for the very young and old alike. She is also a trained volunteer of the BeFriender Ministry. What she loves most about her job is the relationships she forms with children, families, and co-workers. She loves being a part of your child's team! She believes in treating every child as if they were her own. Outside of New Creations, Dawn loves spending time with family, reading, watching movies, and traveling. Dawn’s favorite Bible verse is Mark 10:13-16. Verse 16 “And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them.”
KAYLA L.
Kayla is our Classroom Development Director at Lino Lakes! She graduated from Concordia College with a double major in Social Work and Communication Studies in 2016. Following graduation, she passed her social work licensure exam and began her career working with children and adults with developmental and mental health diagnoses. Her and her husband got married in 2018 and came back to their hometown of Lino Lakes where they bought a house, an energetic red Labrador puppy, and were blessed with a beautiful little girl. Her daughter, Macy, was born in July, and they have loved every second of being parents! In her time at New Creations, she has been the teacher in the Toddler, Preschool Preppers, and Infant 1 classroom. In her spare time, she enjoys going to the cabin with the family, taking her camper out, hiking, watching movies, leading her confirmation group at church, playing with her dog and watching her little girl grow up.
